About Drive For Schools

Founded in 2005 by Subaru of Santa Cruz and now sponsored by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Drive for Schools raised a record $744,645 for local schools in 2021 and has raised almost $8 million total since 2005.

All elementary, middle and high schools in Santa Cruz County are invited to participate. Best of all, each participating school keeps every dollar they earn AND they decide how best to spend the money.

This year’s grand prize is $25,000 cash. We will also give away five $1,000 cash prizes and 100 additional prizes.

The grand prize and five $1,000 cash prizes are provided by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. All other prizes are generously donated by the local businesses listed below. We are grateful for their support!

Click here for the latest list of fabulous prizes. Prize listed updated periodically between now and the drawing on October 23.
