Halloween at the Boardwalk

Enjoy a selection of outdoor arcade and midway games, as well as select food and shopping options. Although rides are closed, celebrate with spooky Boardwalk fun, all planned with COVID safety in mind.

$10 Trick-or-Treat Package 

To participate, you must buy a Trick-or-Treat Package which includes:

  • Trick-or-Treating at participating food and shopping locations along the Boardwalk from noon to 7pm
  • Collectible Boardwalk Candy Bag
  • $8 MyBoardwalk Card — Play fun outdoor midway or arcade games (Cards do not expire — you can save the card for a later date!)
  • Entry into Costume Contest — Stop by the Neptune's Stage to get your photo taken and enter the costume contest.
  • Peace of Mind — Enhanced safety and health guidelines in place. Covid-19 face coverings required.

What will be open on the Boardwalk for Halloween?

You may enjoy a selection of outdoor arcade and midway games, as well as limited food and shopping. Rides, indoor arcades and miniature golf remain closed.

Does everyone attending need to purchase a trick-or-treat package?

Each person who plans to trick-or-treat must purchase the $10 package. They will be given a collectible Boardwalk bag that will be the ticket to trick‑or‑treat.

Are there a limited number of trick-or-treat packages available?

Yes, there are a limited number of packages and they are expected to sell out.

How will social distancing be maintained during this event?

The Boardwalk is enforcing enhanced safety and health guidelines throughout the park. In the event that the park reaches its limited capacity, guests may experience wait times to enter.

Can you purchase trick-or-treat packages at the gate?

We're sorry, but packages are sold out.

How will the costume contest work?

From 12-7pm on October 31, 2020, you may fill out an entry form. A photo will be taken of the entry. Winners will be contacted, mailed their prize, and first place winner photos will be posted on the Boardwalk Facebook page. For covid-safety reasons, there will be no gathering or awards ceremony.

What are the costume contest prizes?

Contestants will be separated in the following age categories:

  • Age 0-5
  • Age 6-10
  • Age 11-15
  • Age 16+
  • Group

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners in each category:

  • 1st - $30 MyBoardwalk Card
  • 2nd - $15 MyBoardwalk Card
  • 3rd - $5 MyBoardwalk Card

There will also be a Grand Prize winner from all contestants:

  • Grand Prize - $50 MyBoardwalk Card
