About Drive For Schools

Founded in 2005 by Subaru of Santa Cruz and now sponsored by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Despite the pandemic, Drive for Schools successfully raised over $423,000 for local schools in 2020 and has raised more than $7.2 million total since 2005.

All elementary, middle and high schools in Santa Cruz County are invited to participate. Best of all, each participating school keeps every dollar they earn AND they decide how best to spend the money.

This year's grand prize is $25,000 cash. We will also give away five $1,000 cash prizes, plus many additional prizes.

The grand prize and five $1,000 cash prizes are provided by the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. All other prizes are generously donated by the local businesses listed below. We are grateful for their support!
