Mariachi Santa Cruz

Mariachi Santa Cruz was founded by Omar Naranjo in 2009 in Santa Cruz, California. Throughout the years, Mariachi Santa Cruz has participated in numerous music festivals, concerts, parades, private events, and more. The ensemble consists of two trumpeters- Javier and Roy, two violinists- Jesus and Jorge, a guitarist- Marcos, a guitarron player- Alfonso, and a vihuela player- Omar. All ensemble members come from families who have played mariachi music for generations. It is through their ancestors that they have learned to share their passion and love for traditional mariachi music.

Sonora Tropicana

Known as one of the greatest names in Latin music for over 25 years, la Sonora Tropicana is a regional band from Mendellin, Colombia that has gained international success. From the mind of Mr. Abel De Luna and the musical direction of Ray Carreño, la Sonora Tropicana blends unique tropical sounds with salsa and cumbia and is often referred to in inner circles as the “Queen of the Sonoras.” Performing popular hits like “Que Bello,” “Dejame Llorar,” “El Gran Baron,” and “El Hombre Que Yo Amo.” Get ready to dance and celebrate the legacy of la Sonora Tropicana!

Elda and Esteban Ortiz founded Corazon en Flor in 1990 to cultivate an appreciation of Mexico’s rich Folklórico dance traditions and to develop authentic and proficient lifetime dancers in Santa Cruz County.

SONORA SANTANERA Tributo a Carlos Colorado

Sonora Santanera is an orchestra playing tropical music from Mexico with over 60 years of history. The band was founded in 1955 by Carlos Colorado in the state of Tabasco. In 1960, comic actor Jesús “Palillo” Martínez helped the band play in Mexico City and get a professional record deal under the name of Sonora Santanera. Colorado died in a bus accident in 1986, causing some members to split off and form various versions of the band. Sonora Santanera Tributo a Carlos Colorado consists of two members that used to perform with Colorado in the 80’s.
