Girl Scout Questions & Answers

Girl Scout - FAQs

Can we camp on the beach?

Camping is not permitted on the beach.
For the fall event, campers may set up along permitted exclusive areas along Boardwalk walkway beside the rides and certain areas do have ocean views.
In the spring, campers are set up inside the Boardwalk's Cocoanut Grove, excluding tents.

Is there a family camping area?

This overnight has a separate sleeping area designated for males and their immediate families only. The Girl Scout attendee can choose to sleep with their male chaperone in this area. No males can sleep outside this designated area. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk follows the Girl Scout Standard #13, "There may be trips when fathers or male leaders/advisers are part of the group. It is not appropriate for males to sleep in the same space with girl members. They may participate only if separate sleeping quarters are available for their use."

Can my sibling attend who is not a Scout?

Yes, friends and family are more than welcome to attend!

What is the age requirement for registering?

I don't want to ride the rides, do I still need to register?

Everyone in attendance must register for the event. Your event wristband gets you into all the exclusive event meal areas, exclusive overnight areas and arcade areas that is also your rides wristband for Saturday. We would still be happy to have you participate in all the other fun!
